With a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an Executive MBA from Vanderbilt University, Kip Dodson started his career as an industrial engineer for Walt Disney World’s Imagineering Group, then later lead teams at Rockwell Automation for 23 years. He retired from industrial engineering in 2014 to focus on his entrepreneurial passions. He now owns DodsonMC, a management consulting firm; Empower Local, a digital marketing technology firm; and A Moment’s Peach Salon and Spa in Franklin, Tennessee.

Dodson purchased A Moment’s Peach Salon and Spa in 2004, and today it is the only business in the market that offers more than ten categories of services in one place. It achieves results that are unmatched by its peers as measured by the POS software that it uses, and the salon employs more than 55 people with an average employee retention rate of more than ten years for key positions.

Dodson also is the author of a forum and article on “Ending Racism” with the Tennessee Immigrant and Minority Business Group, a past-president of the Ravenwood High School Booster Club, a Rotarian and politically active in many groups all focused on better outcomes for kids, parent and aspiring young professionals.
